Komen Race for the Cure 2012

The family participated in the Komen Race for the Cure again this year. The 5k walk/run starts in San Francisco at the Ferry Building, heads past the Bay Bridge, around AT&T Park, and then back to the Ferry Building. The weather this year was beautiful, just like the previous two years.

The turnout seemed low this year, more than likely due to the political fallout earlier this year with the Planned Parenthood funding. The Komen organization does a lot to support women in need and cancer research. Republican, Democrat, or Independent....cancer doesn't get involved in politics. Personally, I choose to support the cause and not worry about the political noise. It's all about helping the people who need it.

Enough about politics. Here are a few more photos from our walk.
